The "Grande Norte" exhibition tells the story of the last great Portuguese maritime adventure, which cleared the way to the great Arctic island and triggered technical and technological advances in the codfish industry, intercultural exchanges between the Portuguese and the indigenous people and brought the distant ice landscapes to Portugal for the first time.
