The Maritime Museum of Ílhavo and the Santo André Ship Museum are closed for maintenance work. MMI has been, since the beginning of the year, with works in the interior and exterior - which included paintings, frames, roofing, among others - not conditioned the access to the public. However, since September 7th, the works at the Museum have entered a phase where it is necessary to intervene in the exhibition route, namely in the repair of parts of the building floor, so it is not feasible to open it to the public.
In turn, the Santo André Ship Museum has been undergoing rehabilitation works since last May, at the Navalria shipyards, and is currently starting the second phase of the works. In a third phase, the Ship-Museum should head to its usual anchorage in the Oudinot Garden for the third phase of the works, namely, the development of its museology and the construction of the new reception.
