Senses of the Sea guided tours - integrate the Rota das Padeiras 2020

It includes providing bike, touring agricultural production, the traditional grinding and tasting prepared by chef Ricardo Matos Marques. 11,00 € / person

On this Sea journey on land, we took the bikes to discover the biologically produced “sea herbs” at Terra d’Avó, along with other aromatic herbs, edible flowers and micro vegetables.

The visit will also take us to the discovery of the bicentenary Moagem Valente, which has been producing stone mill flour for four generations. There will also be time to visit the oven and the headquarters of 'Os Baldas, where the Rota das Padeiras takes place and where the young culinary talent Ricardo Matos Marques will give us to taste the fusion of these wonderful flavors!

A “soulful” journey will be waiting for you, looking for the origins of the best ingredients and the most traditional tastes… A culinary journey where you will find sea and land but will also let us know (or relive) charming people and landscapes.

Senses of Sea ...

Initiative of the Maritime Museum of Ílhavo which includes, among other activities, guided tours mostly outside the museum. Under the pretext of the sea, fisheries and communities, the maritime and iconographic heritage of the Municipality of Ílhavo, including the religious, will be tried and visited, almost always outdoors, as well as other very particular and relevant but less addressed aspects of local maritime culture ... We anticipate many surprises right now!

Activity inserted in the project Territories with History: the Sea, Fisheries and Communities, a network culture program promoted by the Municipalities of Ílhavo, Peniche and Murtosa, in the Center of Portugal. It is co-financed by CENTRO2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund.
