From the kitchen gear of a fishing vessel - made up of numerous pots, trays and coffee pots - there was also the tray of muffins composed of small circular shapes. On the board stove, especially on Thursdays and Sundays, these cookies were made with flour, sugar, eggs (placed inside the large kettles and coffee pots wrapped in olive oil so that they would not break apart and when few in beans), raisins, yeast and cinnamon (to make the dough darker). After kneaded and the forms are greased with butter, put the dough in each and go to the oven.
The cook also used rectangular trays and then cut the cakes into slices that could be eaten for breakfast or lunch.
This object was offered to the Maritime Museum of Ílhavo by the General Fisheries Partnership Company in October 1990.
