The special visit "Maritime Sound Heritage" will present an original project that consists of the survey and dissemination of the Sonorous Heritage associated with cod fishing. The Maritime Museum has challenged the director Tiago Pereira and the Association Portuguese Music Enjoying Herself to explore an unprecedented scale of the extraordinary heritage related to cod fishing. The project is built with the community, listening to reports and memories of work on board and on land in the workforce of large-scale fishing. The work of gathering and dissemination focuses on the search for aspects and sound elements related to this activity and the work in the dry: songs, ditties, to music memories, prayers, sounds of the ship and dories, work rhythms, witnesses noisy and with melody.
