Object of the month: hand line, nepas and gloves

2018/05/01 a 2018/05/31
Linha nepas luva 1 772 2500 1 772 9999

The toil of the cod trolling fisherman begins before the dory is released to the water, at dawn, after a strong drink and Captain command "Let's put down with God." And standing alone in the bow of the dory, the fisherman could fish with hand rile, with line and spear. In order to protect himself from the cold he wore thick woolen gloves (only one finger to make it easier to work) and to avoid cutting his hands with the friction caused by the line, the fisherman would put the nepa - rubber ring with a groove - where ran the fishing line. Hoisted with effort the cod that gradually were filling the inside of the dory.
