The 4th Nautical Modeling Competition, announced this January, ends with the exhibition of the six presented models. The award ceremony will take place on November 18, ending the celebrations of the 80th Anniversary of the Maritime Museum of Ílhavo. The winning work, model of Canoa da Picada "Fatinitza", by Sérgio Paulo Neto Oliveira Agra, will be part of the MMI collection.

Established in 2011, every two years the MMI Nautical Modeling Competition aims to promote nautical culture as a means of expanding Maritime Culture in general and the consolidation of the socio-cultural project of the Maritime Museum in particular. As a promoter, the Municipality of Ílhavo attributes, through the decision of the jury set up for this purpose, the MMI Modeling Prize. This year, the award "Special 80" has the extraordinary value of 4,500.00 euros was awarded the work to be owned by the Municipality of Ílhavo and integrated in the collections of the Maritime Museum.
